A possible extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northwest of Charleshayes Farm. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 30m in length by 21m in width. It is bisected by an earthwork ditch of a modern trackway.
