A curvilinear earthwork bank was visible on aerial photographs of 1947 on the north-west facing slopes north of Gould’s Farm, Luppit Parish. The earthwork is interpreted as a field boundary of probable medieval origin. It does not correspond with any boundary depicted on the Tithe Map for Luppit and was therefore probably removed prior to the mid-19th century. The bank remained clearly visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2010 and probably survives as an earthwork. It is possible that this is the same feature referred to in record MDV47678, potentially mislocated 130 metres to the north.
