Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
One of two barrows marked as 'Tumuli'.

Visited 4th April 1969. Bowl barrow diameter 25 paces, height 2 feet.

The northern one of three bowl barrows on a high ridge overlooking the valley of Weasel Water, a tributary to the River Torridge. The three barrows all survive as circular or oval mounds with their surrounding quarry ditches being preserved as buried features. The northernmost barrow measures 28.8 metres in diameter and is 0.7 metres high.
