A curvilinear bank approximately 5 metres wide and 140 metres long was visible on aerial photographs of 1982 and digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2010 as an earthwork on the west-facing slopes west of Sharcombe Farm, Luppitt. The visible earthwork did not correspond with any boundary depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25inch map or Tithe Map for Luppitt but its curved plan might support a medieval date. The earthwork is therefore interpreted as a former field boundary of possible medieval date that was removed prior to circa 1840. The former boundary might also have been integrated into a catch meadow of probable post-medieval date, recorded separately.
