A circular earthwork pit was visible.

A small circular pit approximately 8 metres in diameter was visible on aerial photographs of 1947 as an earthwork on the north-west facing slopes circa 450 metres to the south of Gorwell Farm, Hemyock parish. The earthwork is interpreted as the remains of a bomb crater of Second World War date. The pit remains visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2010.
