Possible extraction pits of likely post-medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork pits on aerial photographs of 1982 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the west of Sweetlands Farm. The western of the two earthworks is semi-circular in shape, measures approximately 61m in length by 30m in width and abuts, and so likely post-dates, an historic field boundary along its southern edge. That to the east is sub-circular in shape and measures approximately 23m in diameter.
