An extraction pit of possible post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southwest of Knapp Farm. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 15m in length by 10m in width and is located alongside a road. The location of a marl pit to the north and Marlpit Copse to the immediate west both depicted here on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map gives good indication as to the likely use of this feature.
