Granite boundary stone marking Templer's lands

Newman, P., 2002, Haytor Down, Ilsington, Devon, 18, Figure 7 (Report - Survey). SDV346395.

To the south of Smallacombe Rocks is the rounded to section of a stone post lying on the ground. It has an 'S' on the visible face. It may represent the boundary of disputed land by the Duke of Somerset. The north of a line between this and the stone MDV29216 at SX76447791 is claimed by the people of Bovey as the property of the Earl of Devon.
