A possible former field boundary of between medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork bank and ditched feature on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southwest of Underdown Farm. The slightly sinuous earthwork is northeast to southwest aligned and comprises an earthwork ditch flanked on its northwest side by an earthwork bank. The digital Parish Tithe map is incomplete here, so it is not possible to determine whether this possible field boundary was extant at this time, although had evidently passed out of use by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of the 1880’s-90’s.
