A roughly oval earthwork pit, circa 16 metres across, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014, and as a dark cropmark on aerial photographs taken in 2014. It is tentatively interpreted as the remains of an extractive pit. It is not depicted on the historic mapping, suggesting that it may have been abandoned by the late-19th century.
