An irregular earthwork pit, circa 27 metres across, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It is interpreted as the remains of an extractive pit. The approximate area of the pit is depicted as a scrubby area on the available historic mapping, suggesting that it may have been abandoned and scrubbed up by the mid-19th century.
