A possible post-medieval to 19th century gravel pit is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the west of Broadley Farm. A number of gravel pits are also depicted in the immediate vicinity here on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map, which gives a good indication as to the likely use of this earthwork.

A possible post-medieval to 19th century gravel pit is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the west of Broadley Farm. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 30m in length by 15m in width and has been cut into the side of moderate southeast facing slope, within an area where a number of similar such features have been recorded during this survey. A number of gravel pits are also depicted in the immediate vicinity here on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map, which gives a good indication as to the likely use of this earthwork.
