Summary
Parallel linear cropmarks, visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014, are tentatively interpreted as tree planting banks of post-medieval or 19th century date that went out of use by the mid-19th century.

Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 4 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 and very indistinctly on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. The area is depicted as a plot of orchard on the historic mapping and the cross-contour orientation is indicative of tree planting banks of post-medieval or 19th century date. This plot is not depicted with fruit trees on the early-20th century maps, suggesting that use as an orchard ceased around the turn of the 20th century.
