Parallel linear earthwork banks, circa 3 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 and very indistinctly on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. The area is depicted as a plot of orchard on the historic mapping and the cross-contour orientation is indicative of tree planting banks of post-medieval or 19th century date. Fruit trees seem to survive in 1947, suggesting that use as an orchard ceased in the second part of the 20th century.
