The possible extraction pits are visible as earthwork pits.

Earthwork pits of possible former post-medieval to 19th century extraction pits are visible on aerial photographs of 1982 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the east of Wytch Farm. The two sub-oval shaped earthworks are located either side of an historic field boundary and measure approximately 32m in length by 19m in width (eastern earthwork) and approximately 31m in length by 22m in width (western earthwork). The earthworks are located in an area where a number of similar such features have been recorded during this survey.
