A possible former field boundary of between medieval to 19th century date is visible as earthwork banks on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the west of Ley Farm. The curvilinear banks are broadly east to west aligned and are situated on moderate to steep northwest facing slope. The Parish Tithe map is incomplete here, so it is not possible to determine whether this field boundary was extant by this time, although it does appear to have passed out of use by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map. The Historic Landscape Characterisation project has classified this area as comprising ‘medieval enclosures based on strip fields’.
