A roughly circular earthwork mound, up to 14 metres in diameter, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It corresponds to the location of a dark ring-shaped cropmark visible on aerial photographs taken in 1996. The size of the mound and its siting on a spur of land above the lower ground to the north is consistent with an interpretation as a Bronze Age burial mound, but in the absence of any supplementary evidence interpretation must remain tentative.
