An earthwork depression is visible on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2016. It corresponds with a marl pit depicted on the First Edition OS map. It is situated in a plot recorded as an orchard on the Tithe Map and orchard bank earthworks are visible overlying the depression. The earthwork is interpreted as a post-medieval to 19th century extractive pit that passed out of use prior to circa 1840, after which it was planted as an orchard.
