A low earthwork bank up to circa 4 metres wide and 40 metres long was visible as a low earthwork bank to the north-west of Broadhembury Primary School on digital images derived from aerial photographs 2010 and from digital images derived from lidar data lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Although on similar alignment to adjacent boundaries, the visible earthwork did not correspond with any boundary depicted on the Tithe Map or Ordnance Survey First Edition 25inch map and might therefore predate the mid-19th century, perhaps as a former property boundary or burgage plot of medieval date. A narrow boundary, possibly a fence, was visible in this general location on aerial photographs of 1950, and it must be considered possible it was a boundary of modern date, or possibly a modern fence reusing the line of an earlier boundary.
