Two parallel curvilinear earthwork ditches, up to 3 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs from the 1940s and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. No field boundaries are depicted in this location on the available historic mapping and the earthworks are interpreted as the relict remains of medieval field boundaries which went out of use by the mid-19th century. Their orientation and pattern is consistent with the parallel curvilinear boundaries that have their origin in medieval strip fields.
