Several curvilinear and linear earthwork banks and ditches of approximately 2.5 metres width are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1948. Some terminate at kinks in extant field boundaries, or appear continuous with extant field boundaries visible on the 1940s aerial photographs, suggesting that they are contemporary with them, and therefore likely to be medieval origin. The route of the Roman road is roughly parallel and just to the west, but the earthworks do not have any characteristics that could define it as a Roman road. The earthworks were not visible on later available imagery and the area has now been developed for housing.
