Full description

After the construction of the school in 1859, teachers mainly lodged in the village (Ivy Cottage was used) but this was not always possible and after one good teacher left after failing to get lodgings, the Rector suggested building aa teachers' house and this was agreed on. It was finished in November 1893 and was used for this purpose until the school closed in 1947. It was later sold on and is privately owned now.
