Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

Curvilinear earthwork ditches, up to 4 metres wide, are visible on aerial photographs from the 1940s onwards, but more clearly on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. One comprises two curvilinear sections conjoined to a more linear section that corresponds to what appears to be a watercourse depicted on the late-19th century OS maps. The other is a separate curvilinear on a similar alignment although it partly corresponds with the entrance to the field. The earthworks resemble medieval field boundaries in layout, but they may be at least partly created or exacerbate by water and vehicle erosion.
