A linear earthwork ditch, up to circa 2 metres in width, is visible on aerial photographs from the 1940s onwards, but more clearly on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It is not depicted on the historic mapping, although partly corresponds to two rows of mature broadleaf trees depicted on the late-19th century mapping. It does not respect a probable medieval field system (MDV112039) but is much clearer, and it is interpreted as the remains of a post-medieval field boundary that became disused by the mid-19th century.
