The possible extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

A possible post-medieval to 19th century extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1982 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the east of Ridge Farm. The irregular shaped earthwork measures approximately 55m in length by 36m in width and is situated on gentle to moderate west facing slope, in close proximity to a much larger extraction pit (MDV117402) approximately 40m to the northeast.
