An extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southwest of Hanger Farm. The sub-oval shaped earthwork measures approximately 30m in length by 22m in width and is situated on moderate west facing slope in proximity to a number of similar such features also recorded during this survey. It is likely the result of small, farm-scale extraction.
