Parallel linear earthwork banks, just over 2 metres in width, are indistinctly visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Their broadly cross-contour orientation is indicative of post-medieval or 19th century tree planting banks. Most of the area is depicted with trees on the Tithe map, but it is depicted as two plots with no infield trees on the late-19th century OS mapping. The earthworks are tentatively interpreted as orchard banks that went out of use by the mid-19th century, but they are narrower than would be expected.
