Field boundaries of potential medieval date are visible as a series of earthwork banks and ditches indistinctly on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards, but most clearly visible on lidar images of 2016, to the south of Manor Farm, Dunkeswell. The boundaries vary in form and it is unclear whether they are contemporaneous. The far eastern field boundary comprises a slight curvilinear north to south aligned bank, with a rectilinear shaped enclosure approximately 65m in length by 30m in width visible off its eastern edge. The remaining earthworks comprise two L-shaped field boundaries, the central of these defined by two earthwork ditches flanked by a bank. An additional north to south aligned ditch which intersects with a possible post-medieval to 19th century extraction pit is also visible here. The earthwork boundaries are not depicted on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48, so had evidently passed out of use by this time.
