Parallel linear earthwork banks, approximately 3.5 metres in width, are visible below sparse tree cover on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Their broadly cross-contour orientation is indicative of post-medieval or 19th century tree planting banks. Orchard is depicted in this location on the available 19th century mapping and the earthworks are interpreted as orchard banks that fell out of use in the mid-20th century.
