A grid of numerous narrow linear earthwork ditches, running across and along the contour, are visible on aerial photographs taken from 1947 onwards and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. The cross-contour ditches would function as drains, but the perpendicular ditches that link them do not seem to. It potentially could function as a watermeadow, perhaps post-medieval or 19th century in date, but as no features are depicted in this location on the available historic mapping they may have fallen out of use by the late-19th century.
