A possible former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 1947 and as an earthwork ditch on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the south of Devon and Somerset Gliding Club. The linear north to south aligned field boundary closely respects some of the field boundaries which are medieval in character and which are depicted here on the Parish Tithe map. The possible boundary appears, however, to have passed out of use by this time. Given the alignment of the earthwork and its situation on moderate south facing slope, it is also possible this feature represents a 19th to 20th century drainage ditch.
