Earthwork banks of probable post-medieval to 19th date are visible on aerial photographs of 1944 and 1950, to the southwest of Devon and Somerset Gliding Club. The earthworks, which are northeast to southwest aligned and occupy an area of approximately 0.20 hectares of moderate southeast facing slope, may represent the remains of agricultural improvement or represent the site of a former orchard, the banks providing improved drainage and increased soil depth for the fruit trees. The earthwork banks, which were possibly associated with the former farmhouse of Moor (MDV47215) to the immediate south, are not visible after 1950 and digital images derived from lidar data appear to show that the former earthworks have been levelled.
