Full description
Wall, J. C., 1906, Ancient Earthworks, 592 (Article in Monograph). SDV341465.
A tunnel for the storage of grain was found some distance to the west of the camp (see PRN 525). It ran for 130 feet east to west, 5 feet wide and 3 feet high. At the east end it divided into 2 passages with a chamber between.
Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1953, SS48SW8 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV336829.
This seems to be a geological rock fault. The length seems excessive for crop storage and it is not a drain. Probably a natural feature. Not visible on aerial photos.
