Former field boundaries of potential medieval date are visible as earthwork bank and ditched features on aerial photographs of 1982 and on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the northeast of Hanger Farm. The linear earthworks are northwest to southeast and northeast to southwest aligned and are situated on moderate southwest facing slope. The eastern most earthwork which is visible as a ditch appears to truncate, and so postdate, the southern tip of a banked field boundary. The field boundaries are not depicted on the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48 and so appear to have passed out of use by this time. Other earthworks visible in the vicinity here are depicted on historic maps and so were not transcribed during this survey.
