Environment Agency, 1998-2014, LiDAR DTM data (1m resolution), LIDAR ST1102 Environment Agency DTM 01-JAN-1998 to 30-SEP-2014 (Cartographic). SDV359177.

Slight parallel linear banks were visible as earthworks.

Next Perspectives, 2010, Aerial Photography for Great Britain, Next Perspectives APGB Imagery ST1102 22-MAY-2010 (Aerial Photograph). SDV356259.

The orchard plots had been partly cleared and turned over to pasture. The bank were visible as slight earthworks in the eastern plot.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

The remains of roughly parallel ridges were visible as low parallel earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1950 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014, on the south-east facing slopes north-west of Hembury Fort House, Buckerell parish.
The ridges were spaced approximately 6 metres apart and ran obliquely to the contours of the slope. They fell within two contiguous plots depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25 inch map, probably associated with Hembury Fort House.
The earthworks are interpreted as the remains of tree planting banks made for fruit tree planting and improved orchard drainage dating probably from the post-medieval period to the mid-19th century. The orchard remained lightly planted in 1950. The western plot remains densely planted with tree cover but the eastern has been cleared and turned over to pasture on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2010. The banks survive to be visible as very slight and subtle earthworks in both plots on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014.
