Full description
Watkins, J., 1792, History of Bideford, 142 (Monograph). SDV319968.
The bridge, which is the largest in Devonshire, and is a very noble work, considering the age in which it was built, has 24 arches of different size. The stones are common, the greater number of which were dug out of quarries in the adjacent parish of Landcross, just above the bridge. Other details: Cited by Meade.
