Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Plots 49, 50 and 51 are recorded as Lime Kiln and Waste, Kiln Close Garden and Kiln Close respectively on the Landcross Tithe Apportionment.

The wall of the lime-kiln is still standing against the north-west side of lane leading to Watertown Farm, with large detached block of wall. Height 6m. A double lime-kiln and detached square building is marked here on the 1840 Tithe Map. Other details: Sketch Plan.
