Parallel linear earthwork banks, approximately 3.5 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s in two adjoining fields. Their broadly cross-contour orientation is indicative of post-medieval or 19th century tree planting banks and orchard is depicted in this location on the Tithe map and late-19th century OS maps. Trees were still visible on the 1940s images, and the earthworks are interpreted as orchard banks that fell out of use in the second part of the 20th century.
