Parallel linear earthwork banks, approximately 3 metres in width, are visible on aerial photographs taken in 1948. Their broadly cross-contour orientation is indicative of post-medieval or 19th century tree planting banks although no orchard is depicted in this location on the available historic maps. They are interpreted as orchard banks that fell out of use by the mid-19th century.
