An irregular earthwork pit, up to circa 60-44 metres, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It is interpreted as the remains of an extractive pit that was abandoned by the late-19th century, this area being depicted as rough ground on the late-19th century mapping. It may have been for gravel extraction, given the gravel pit depicted less than 100 metres to the east on the late-19th century OS mapping. Vegetation obscures the ground surface on the available aerial photographs.
