A roughly oval earthwork pit, circa 22 by 18 metres in size, is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. No features are depicted in this location on the available historic mapping, and it is interpreted as the remains of an extractive pit that was abandoned by the late-19th century.
