An irregularly shaped earthwork pit, circa 33 by 90 metres in size, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1996 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. It is located in the western part of a field which is depicted as orchard on the 19th century mapping. It is interpreted as the remains of an extractive pit that was abandoned by the mid-19th century and was subsequently reused for orchard.
