A curvilinear earthwork ditch or hollow, between circa 5 and 15 metres wide is visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014, on the north-facing slopes below Buckerell Knap. The visible earthwork does not correspond to the location of any of feature depicted on the historic mapping available to the survey.
The ditch is interpreted as the relict remains of a field boundary or trackway of possible medieval date that was removed or passed out of use by the mid-19th century.
