Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

An oval pit circa 30 by 40 metres across was visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2002.
The visible earthworks did not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the 19th century mapping available to the survey. This supports the interpretation that the visible earthworks are the remains of an extractive that pit had passed out of use prior to the mid-to-late 19th century.
