The visible earthwork does not correspond with any depicted pit but partly corresponded with plot 757.

An irregularly shaped pit up to circa 125 by 40 metres in size was visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014.
The visible earthworks partly corresponded with, but extended beyond, a plot depicted as an orchard in this location on the 19th century mapping available to the survey.
This supports the interpretation that the visible earthworks are the remains of an extractive that pit had passed out of use prior to the mid- 19th century and were subsequently utilised as an orchard. Earthwork evidence for the orchard has been recorded separately.
