A possible former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as two earthwork banks on digital images derived from lidar images of 2016, to the southwest of Hookedrise Farm. The linear earthworks are northeast to southwest aligned and generally respect the historic field patterns depicted here on the Parish Tithe map, although the boundary is not depicted on this map and has likely passed out of use by this time. The Historic Landscape Characterisation project has classified this area as comprising ‘Medieval enclosures based on strip fields’. The earthworks are not clearly visible on other aerial photographs or digital images made available to the survey.
