The former field boundaries are visible as earthwork banks.

The earthworks have likely been levelled following construction of the airfield.

Former field boundaries of between medieval to 19th century date are visible as earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1942, to the northwest of Southayes Farm. The three intersecting linear earthworks are Y-shaped in plan and appear to have passed out of use by the time of the Parish Tithe map of 1838-48. The earthworks were likely completely levelled following construction of Dunkeswell airfield in 1943.
