A ring ditch of potential prehistoric date is visible as an earthwork ditched feature on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, on gentle northeast facing slope, to the northwest of Middlecott Farm. The earthwork ditch is only very faintly defined on lidar. It comprises a narrow ditch, approximately 2m in width which forms a sub-circular ring, approximately 21m in diameter. A circular cropmark is also visible here on aerial photographs of 1947, which adds weight to this feature being of likely archaeological origin, perhaps the outer ditch of a former ploughed out prehistoric burial mound.
