Atkins, W. S., 1998, Bude Canal Strategic Study (Report - Assessment). SDV340325.

Blagdonmoor Wharf. This wharf stands on the Holsworthy branch of the Bude Canal. It can be reached from the Stanbury Cross - Woodcott road. Access to Blagdon Moor Wharf is unadopted and properties are private. Canal bed is present past the wharf to the site of the proposed tunnel. Wharf buildings survive in a poor state of repair.

A branch of the Bude Canal (constructed 1819-1825) terminated at Blagdonmoor. It was originally intended to run towards Okehampton but lack of funds prevented its extension. The canal was built to carry sea-sand and coal.
