Plot 344 was listed as a Fishpond but its state of cultivation described as coppice.

A roughly triangular pit up to circa 60 metres across was visible as an earthwork on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014.
The visible earthworks did not correspond with any pit features depicted in this location on the 19th century mapping available to the survey. However, it does correspond with a small woodland named Fishpond Copse on the OS First Edition 25 inch map and current OS MasteMap base mapping. The Tithe Apportionments for Buckerell describe this plot (344) as a Fishpond but also list its state of cultivation as coppice.
This might support the interpretation that the visible earthworks are the remains of an extractive that pit had passed out of use and subsequently utilised as a fishpond before a further use as a small woodland, prior to the mid-19th century.
